Hello! It has been exactly one year since my first ever post on this website and the second year is going to start! 2020 was in one word was: bad. So many painful memories, racial injustice, the whole pandemic, political situation, loss of the senior year, no new memories with friends, and loss of many beloved ones. However, there was also a silver lining. I became a QuestBridge finalist, raised awareness about bullying through my poster, joined new clubs to foster connections with my friends (making some new ones too : )), got chosen for a summer project, won a $1000 scholarship, and on the verge of releasing my app! However, just my own success does not outweigh all the issues everyone faced in 2020. Here’s to a better 2021. Knowing how many of my friends continually visit my site, here are some of my new year’s resolutions so they can keep me accountable!
- Read at least 50 books (1 year = 52 weeks)
- Spend time reworking your website
- Go back to the quarantine workouts!
- Spend quality time with friends and family, you won’t get to see them as often if you leave NYC 🙁
- Speaking of college, get involved early! Hopefully, the regular decision goes well and you get into the college of your dreams. Get involved with the class of 2025 and clubs!
- Thank recommenders with college merch
- Spend some time playing games. Finish all work before Sunday so you can have time to relax (finally)
- Ask that special someone out to prom
- Continually keep drinking 8 glasses every day
- Help out family whenever they ask for it
Trust me when I say this, my list is way too long to be on here already. Please keep me accountable (you know who you are 😳)
