With 2022 coming to an end, I felt like the year was eventful enough to recap memorable events. 2022 was probably one of my favorite years in a while as a whole and this past 2022 fall semester? Best one yet. Full of the hardest courses I’ve taken (hi cs150) to making the bestest friends along the way (hi), this semester was amazing to say the least. From having fun at least one day a week to promotions and new opportunities galore, I’m super grateful to have gained all the new experiences I’ve been afforded this year. Special shoutout to the website recognition as well! Actually, I should probably update everyone on the sites health considering the last time I revealed website stats was in 2020? Honestly after reading that post (this one, in case you didn’t go down the rabbit hole and don’t know what I’m talking about), it’s hilarious how wrong I was. With that being said, finals ended so I dug up some statistics from google analytics and without further ado, here we go!
795 unique users? That’s. That’s a number. The complete flat horizontal line was when this site was a work in progress and then slow growth till a big spike? I’m honestly not sure the catalyst behind it but it’s an interesting observation to say the least. Please let me know the reasoning behind that so I can cause it again, thank you 🙂
Honestly, very pleased! I was aiming for an even split but 55 – 45 is absolutely fine by me. I don’t want to hear any more red flag comments after this, clearly I’m the greenest. I’m curious though, what even makes you guys want to come to the site? While everything is good and positive though, there’s still room for improvement:
Considering the fact that a 0-2 second load time is has the highest impact on conversion rates, 6.46 is pretty poor. However, with the influx of more people using the site at the same time, the site does tend to slow down tremendously during high traffic hours. I’m not sure how to combat but that’s 2023 me’s problem, it is what it is 🙂
